Meet your Teachers!
🌟 Nicole Tufts – Director, New Earth Academy 🎨
Hey there! I’m Nicole, and I’m thrilled to be steering the creative ship at New Earth Academy for my 3rd year running! From exploring vibrant painting techniques to diving into the world of music production, entrepreneurship, and performance, I’m here to help kids unleash their artistic potential and dream big!
When I’m not inspiring our young artists, you’ll find me making my own creative waves. I’m the founder of Vandal Doughnuts and Riot Snack Bar (yes, those delicious treats are mine!), and you might have spotted my murals around Halifax—throw a rock downtown and you'll hit one! I’ve also had the joy of being a featured artist at Nocturne Arts Festival and love adding a splash of creativity to the community.
In addition to my role at New Earth Academy, I lead Coastal Vibe Collective, where we create awesome spaces for dance and music—free of judgment and intoxication. Plus, I’m a music producer currently working on some epic albums, so stay tuned for some exciting new sounds!
Let’s make this year at New Earth Academy the most exciting, inspiring, and creative one yet! 🚀🎨🎶
🎶 Micaela Comeau 🎭 Director, New Earth Academy 🎨
Meet Micaela Comeau, our vibrant and multi-talented music and acting maestro! Micaela is a dynamic singer-songwriter, composer, and musical theatre playwright who brings her passion for creativity and performance to New Earth Academy. Whether she's teaching private lessons in voice, piano, ukulele, or songwriting, Micaela infuses each class with energy and excitement.
From her early days accompanying youth choirs to leading musical theatre day camps for over a decade, Micaela’s journey is a testament to her dedication to nurturing artistic expression. Recently, she’s been leading exhilarating group song circles and songwriting classes, creating spaces where participants can dive deep into their emotions and ideas with confidence and creativity.
When Micaela is not teaching she is performing under her artist name Wuzzo! You can stream her epic tunes on Spotify!
As a co-founder of New Earth Academy, Micaela is our go-to guru for all things music and acting, inspiring young artists to explore their talents and shine brightly. 🌟🎤🎹
